The Royal Hotel an elegant Grade II listed building with its unique gold dome has been a place of welcome to travellers since the early part of the nineteenth century. Situated in the heart of the thriving town of Hexham the hotel dominates the street of Priestpopple. Built in 1820 the original coaching house was known as the ’New’ or ’Low Grey Bull’ eventually to become ’The Royal Hotel’ in around 1870. The Hexham Royal offers family friendly hotel accomodation.
