Alba House was originally a merchent’s house in the mid 19th Century. It has all the characteristic features of that era - high ceilings ornate plaster cornice wide staircase and spacious rooms. Nowadays it has been adapted for everyday use as a very comfortable hotel with ensuite bathrooms. However the charm of its Victorian past has not been lost. Alba House still retains the spacious bedrooms large windows and elegant public rooms. Children are welcome aged 9+ at Alba House.
