Holmhead is a two-hundred year old ex-farmhouse built with Hadrian’s Wall stone on the Northumberland - Cumbria border situated in a quiet rural location on Hadrian’s Wall Path and Pennine Way near to the most spectacular parts of the Wall. We’re by a river and next to the ruins of 14th century Thirlwall Castle. All bedrooms are en-suite and have stunning views of the North Pennines or the castle. Guests have their own entrance via external stone staircase. Self-catering cottage also available. Holmhead Guest House welcomes families. Our facilities for children include games, cots and children’s menu.
