Designed by George Robertson about 1778 for the Garden-Robinson family (noted merchants and long-standing Provosts of the Burgh) the building contains many features copied from nearby Duff House William Adam’s baroque masterpiece and stately home of the Earls and Dukes of Fife. A Grecian styled porch way with splendid segmented fanlight was added about 1830. Since conversion to a small prestigious hotel in 1977 the bedrooms have been individually furnished and decorated with all modern-day comforts for the discerning guest. The County Hotel welcomes families.
